Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship

The department employs 5 teachers, including: 2 associate professors, candidates of economic sciences (Bronitsky Oleksandr Mykolayovych, Ohienko Svitlana Oleksiivna), 1 associate professor of the MCA (Laguta Tetyana Oleksiivna), 1 senior lecturer (Spivakova Nadiya Oleksandrivna), 1 doctor of philosophy in economics (Nikityuk Vitaliy Grigorovich).

The department provides training for higher education applicants in the areas of training of the Kharkiv Institute of PJSC “VNI “MAUP”.

During training in the form of lectures, seminars, trainings, business games, students receive modern knowledge, practical recommendations from qualified teachers, which will significantly contribute to professional growth, career advancement, and will also provide an opportunity to occupy management positions and ensure career growth.

The teaching staff, training modern-level specialists, tries to create an atmosphere in which the individual trajectory of each individual develops towards integration into the teaching staff and awareness of themselves as part of the modern domestic and international society.

Modern development is aimed at training not only professionals, but also mobile specialists who are able to work in conditions of social and economic changes, attention is also paid to developing motivation for independent scientific research in higher education applicants.

One of the most important areas of activity is improving the quality of the educational process, which is facilitated by improving the educational and methodological, informational, material and technical support of the educational process and educational work with higher education applicants, training highly qualified specialists at the bachelor’s and master’s educational and qualification levels.

Methodological materials are constantly updated – work programs, syllabi, basic lecture notes, topics of coursework in the relevant disciplines of the curriculum, methodological recommendations for independent work of students, test tasks, tickets for exams and tests, programs of educational, industrial and pre-diploma practices.

Methodological work is aimed at improving teaching activities, implementing innovative forms and methods of teaching, in particular, the use of computer technologies (multimedia presentations), the implementation of interactive forms and methods of teaching, testing, preparation of textbooks, educational and methodological complexes of disciplines.

One of the directions of the department’s scientific and methodological work is conducting seminars, round tables, applying training methods for the exchange of experience, searching for new teaching methods, and improving the educational process.

The training of qualified specialists is based on an interdisciplinary approach to specialized subjects in economics, accounting, current problems of modern business, modern production organization, etc., as well as on the assimilation by higher education applicants of the appropriate complex of knowledge necessary for the effective performance of professional functions in new socio-economic conditions.

The organizational and educational work of the department, in addition to daily work with higher education applicants, is represented by numerous cultural and educational events (Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, Day of Ukrainian Cossacks, Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Teacher’s Day, Day of Knowledge, Freshman’s Day, etc.).

One of the areas of educational work is cultural and aesthetic education. Education and development of the personality of all participants in educational activities, capable of forming and strengthening civil society, national traditions, and ensuring intercultural exchange.
