DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology is a graduate department of the Kharkiv Institute of PJSC “Higher Education Institute of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences” and trains applicants for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the specialty C4 ” Psychology “. Activities departments aimed at ensuring qualities higher education in accordance to standards higher education Ukraine , requirements of NAZAVO, ESG and principles academic integrity .

Mission departments psychology consists in preparing highly qualified industry experts psychology , capable of responsible professional activity , scientific search and continuous professional development taking into account modern social challenges , labor market needs and requests employers . The department provides formation personal and professional , research , ethical and practical competencies of applicants higher education .

Vision departments psychology is modern academic center of psychological education and science, integrated into national and international educational and scientific simple p , which combines education , science and practice, forms professional the identity of a psychologist capable of to work in conditions uncertainty , crises and social transformations , and contributes to development cultures mental health and psychological assistance in society .

Strategy development departments psychology implemented through provision quality and system updates educational programs , implementation competency-based and practice-oriented approaches , strengthening practical orientations training , development scientific research activities and human resources potential , as well as active interaction with stakeholders, employers , applicants education and graduates .

Educational process at the department psychology implemented in the form of lectures , seminars , practical classes and trainings from using modern interactive methods learning ( discussions , case methods , group work , practical modeling professional activities ) and aimed at achieving software results training and formation ability to self-regulate professional thinking .

Practical training and professional orientation applicants are provided through internships in specialized institutions institutions of Kharkiv , involvement applicants to the activities of the Social Assistance Center , as well as the formation skills practical psychological works in accordance with ethical standards professions . At the same time, the department is actively developing student scientific activity , functioning scientific circles , held scientific activities that contributes formation research competencies and academic cultures applicants higher education .
